Film Chart Analysis

How do the films on the individual charts compare to your own suggestions? Are there any surprises?
I get surprised when there are new films which came out so that I could watch them or what rating they are put in.

What do the films in the lists: top grossing, top opening weekends, have in common?
It tells us that how good it is (start ratings) or what age is suitable for us to watch (etc U, PG, 12, 15, 18+).

What do you know about the studios that produced these films?
When they try to make films in studios, they go to the background wall of a hall where they can act or where you could tell where that film based in. The directors get more amount of money.

Can you identify the films genres? Do the genres indicate that some types of films have a wide appeal or that they can draw in global audiences?
  • Action
  • Animation
  • Comedy
  • Fantasy
  • Fiction
  • History
  • Horror
  • Romance
  • Thriller
  • Western
It depends on what films that they like best.

What features do the films have in common? Are they films that rely on spectacle? Do they feature stars? Are they part of a franchise? etc.
  • Targets are the main features because they hire a lot of teenagers and young adults in most films around the world.
  • Sometimes they rely on spectacles, and sometimes they don't.
  • Well of course they feature stars in all movies because it shows that how good the film is or maybe it is the age ratings
  • Not really part of a franchise

What do the charts suggest about the audiences for these films?
An audience is a group of people who participate in a show or encounter a work of art, literature, theatre, music, video games, or academics in any medium.

Use your knowledge of one or more of the films to suggest the features that would draw in audiences.
The film industry is interested in studying the tastes and opinions of actual audiences through empirical studies, such as surveys, focus groups, and interviews because the film industry is a moneymaking enterprise, it remains successful only by producing films that make a profit over and above their (increasingly sizable) budget and marketing costs.
